To me, a visit to a hairdresser's is about more than just getting your hair done. It's about taking time out of your busy schedule for yourself. But in today's age of big hair salon chains, customers become numbers and human interactions are reduced to that.
Instead, I'd be happy to welcome you in a cosy environment in my salon in Ixelles (Brussels), Akwaba, and offer you a listening ear and my aesthetic expertise, with the hope of ensuring your internal, as well as your external well-being.

AKWABA SUNDAY WORKSHOPS
Are you raising a child with multiple ethnic backgrounds? Or are you a "third culture kid"? Maybe you just want to learn about your fellow humans and their many traditions while tasting a variety of foods from the world and meeting like-minded people in a warm, cozy atmosphere?
Then Akwaba: welcome to our workshops which take place regularly on Sundays. You can watch a short video of the very first Akwaba workshop to get a sense of the atmosphere or view a list of past workshops.
With the support of Dominique Dufourny, Mayor for Ixelles commune, and Maite Morren, alderman for Dutch-language Culture, Communal Life, Informatics, Economics and Printing, and the members of the 'College des Bourgmestre et Echevins d'Ixelles'.
